Meet Joy & Harriet.
We started Keep It Polished because we wanted somewhere that felt like a friend's flat, not a salon. Between the two of us there's always a kettle on and a candle going.
We work slowly on purpose. Cuticles get the time they need, gel goes on thin, and shape gets checked from every angle before we move on. The result is nails that wear well — usually three to four weeks for gel, longer if you're gentle with them.
Pricing is honest. There's no upsell and no surprise add-ons at the end. If you'd like a chat we love a chat — if you'd rather sit quietly with a podcast, that's just as good.

How do I book an appointment?
Message us on WhatsApp or give us a call — whichever is easiest. We work by appointment only (no walk-ins), and Joy or Harriet usually reply within about 30 minutes.

Often, yes! If we have a slot free we are happy to fit you in the same day. Send us a WhatsApp and we will let you know what is open.

Do I need to pay a deposit to book?
No deposit needed — just message us to lock in a time.

How much do treatments cost?
Most services fall between R200 and R750 depending on what you would like — length, nail art, removal and so on. WhatsApp us with what you have in mind and we will send an exact quote. Soak-off and removal are charged separately.

Can I bring my own nail-art ideas?
Absolutely — bring a screenshot or reference. If you can send it to us ahead of your appointment, even better: it gives us time to practice the design so it is perfect on the day.

Do you do soak-offs and removals?
Yes, we do gentle, careful soak-offs and removals (charged separately from a new set).

What is the signature rubber base?
It is a flexible strengthening layer we apply under your colour. It protects the natural nail and helps it grow without chipping, lifting or breaking — it is a big part of why our clients’ nails last so well.
